The lake provides a crucial watering hole for these animals during their journey. With over 400 species of birds recorded in the area. Flamingos are particularly common around the lake, attracted by its alkaline waters. The surrounding area is mostly grassland and acacia woodland, providing a habitat for a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants. The area is also home to the rare and endangered black rhinoceros.

Day by Day
Day 1:
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
After pleasantries and welcome procedures, meet your Alkanjaoi tour and Safari guide at Kilimanjaro International airport. From there, take a short drive to a hotel in Arusha city for dinner and overnight. We welcome you to Tanzania and appreciate that you selected Alkanjoi Tours. Enjoy your stay and take the time you need to relax before the Tanzania safari the following day.

Day 2:
Arrival in Lake Ndutu
Arrive at Lake Ndutu in the afternoon and check into your comfortable midrange lodge or tented camp with a view of the lake. Spend a relaxing evening soaking in the sights and sounds of the surroundings. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 3:
Great Migration Safari in Ndutu
Start the day with an early breakfast at your accommodation.
Embark on a full-day guided safari to witness the great wildebeest migration in the Ndutu area.
Experience the thrill of seeing millions of animals gather to give birth, a truly awe-inspiring sight.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the midst of the migration spectacle.
Continue your safari in the afternoon, exploring different parts of the area.
Return to your accommodation in the evening.

Day 4:
Ngongoro-arusha
Leave Ndutu at 6 am with your packed meals and head to the remarkable Ngorongoro Crater. This expansive area is home to a diverse range of East African wildlife, including the rare black rhino. Spend 5 to 6 hours exploring the crater, which spans 260 square kilometers and extends approximately 20 kilometers in diameter. Enjoy lunch within the crater before continuing to Ngorongoro Marera View Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
